Advice

If I were to be hired by Baruch College to be a part of the New Media Team, some advice that I would share to help improve the college would be, to use every social media platform to our benefit to help promote and attract students to the school. We need to put more power into our social pages, and try to get student engaged in these spaces, by having incentives, prizes, etc. Another advice to help improve the college is to utilize a service to help students find textbooks for cheap, rent, buy, or even sell their used books, this will really help benefit a lot of students. In addition, I would also, try to implement social media group conferences, or the use of social media in classrooms. Although blackboard is pretty good, it is barely used to discussions. With a more in demand and popular platforms such as twitter, Facebook, etc. it would be a great tool to spark class discussions and have more students engage to participate.
